After working in a daycare, I realized that working with children was my calling.
I didn’t really know what I wanted to study when I started my college education at Calhoun Community College, so I concentrated on taking classes to fulfill my general studies requirements. When I was presented with a job opportunity to work at a daycare center, I instantly fell in love with the atmosphere and the children and realized that this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
After completing three years at Calhoun, I transferred to Athens State. Calhoun had nothing but great things to say about the education program here, and after doing some research of my own, I saw that this was the best choice for me.
One day, I want to have my own classroom and teach, but my ultimate dream is to have a daycare of my own that caters to parents that work abnormal schedules.
