The Better Business Bureau of North Alabama will host a free* community event on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon at Athens State University (enter from Hobbs St.).
This event is offered to give area residents and small businesses an opportunity to protect identities and the environment in a quick and easy drive through set up. You do not have to get out of your car. This is a non-contact event.
The following services will be available:
- Document Shredding – On site document shredding for homes or small businesses by (5 box or bag limit per car)
- Drug Takeback – Athens Police Department will collect over the counter and prescription pills, patches, controlled substances and vet meds (no liquids or needles)
- Electronic Recycling – including desk tops, laptops, tablets, gaming devices, computer towers, cords, cell phones, TVs (*$10 fee for each TV)
- Donations of Used Household Items and Clothing will be collected by America’s Thrift Store to benefit Make-A-Wish Alabama. Donation receipts available.
