The Athenian Players invite you to join them for their Spring 2020 performance of INK, “A play about the creation of the Rorschach test, finding your better half, and living in the fold,” according to Dr. Hugh Long, Associate Professor of Drama and English at Athens State University. INK was written by Kelly Younger, a screenwriter and award-winning playwright with work staged off-Broadway, regionally, and internationally. Younger has worked with Disney and Pixar, serving as a member of the Disney Animation Story Trust and Pixar Amination Brain Trust. He was involved with working on films including Moana, Ralph Breaks the Internet, Frozen 2, Raya and the Last Dragon, Cars 3, Incredibles 2, Toy Story 4, and Onward.
Directed by Dr. Hugh Long, INK will run from April 9-11 and April 16-18. All shows will be performed at 7:30 pm with the exception of a matinee performance at 2:00 pm on April 18. Tickets are on sale now.
INK’s talented cast includes Taylor McPeters as Justin, Chelsey George as Aimee, Mark Jackson as Hermann, Tyler Dalton as Emil, Chelsea Baker as Olive, and Vicki Montgomery as Dana.
Performances will take place in the Studio Theatre of the Performing Arts Center at the Alabama Center for the Arts, 133 2nd Avenue, Decatur. General admission tickets are $15.00, and senior or student admission tickets are $10.00.
