• Fiction – Call numbers begin with F. Books are arranged alphabetically by author.
• Juvenile (Children’s books) – Call numbers begin with J, JE, JF, and JR. JEs and JFs are arranged by author. Js and JRs are arranged by Dewey call number.
• K-12 textbooks – Call numbers begin with [CURRIC]. Books are arranged by Dewey call number.
• Archives and Rare Books – Call numbers begin with [ARCHIVES] or [RARE]. Most are arranged by Dewey call number.
• Reserve items – Call numbers begin with [RESERVE]. Reserve materials are arranged in groups by the instructor’s name.

Periodicals are located on the east side of the first floor and are arranged in alphabetical order by title.
