ATHENS, AL - Athens State University has announced an Art Scholarship Competition that will award scholarship funds totaling $1,500 for the fall and spring terms and $1,000 for the summer semesters. These funds will be designated for students entering Athens State with outstanding potential as an art major in computer graphics, art education or studio art.

All work must be original and completed within the last 2 years. The Alabama Center for the Arts Gallery standards will be followed for exhibition of the work.

To qualify, prospective students should complete an Athens State University application for admissions with all official transcripts on file in the Admissions Office by the admissions deadline date. In order to be eligible all admissions requirements and program prerequisites must be met. Students must enroll at least 12 hours for the fall and spring semesters and 9 hours for the summer semester.
