Athens State University is growing its distance learning programs. The University is experiencing a strong student demand for online courses. To address this interest, almost all of the 33 majors at Athens State now provide at least one or more classes that can be taken over the internet. The College of Education, College of Arts and Sciences, and College of Business all offer internet-based coursework. More information about these classes can be found in the course schedule.

I wish to start taking online courses toward a bachelor's degree. How do I transfer to Athens State University?
To transfer, complete the Athens State University application . You will need to include a transcript(s) of all coursework. Once you have transferred, you may register and pay for classes online through our web site. Am I eligible for financial aid while taking online classes?
Students pursuing their degree online are eligible for Financial Aid under the same terms and conditions as any other Athens State University student. Athens State University offers a wide-range of financial aid and scholarship opportunities available to all students through our financial aid web site. In addition, scholarships are offered through the Athens State University Foundation and the Athens State University Alumni Association . Books and materials can be purchased online from the Athens State University Bookstore.
