Visitors to Belle Chevre’s creamery in the heart of Elkmont will take a guided tour and learn the ins and outs of how America’s best goat cheese is made. Lunch is provided at Belle Chevre’s.

Then, on to Arrington Vineyards. The Vineyard is located among the beautiful hills in Arrington, TN. Join us for a tour of the grapes and the wine process. Wine tastings are on your own.

Elvis, the early years

Hearts will flutter and hips will shake when Elvis Presley returns to the Alabama Shakespeare Festival on Monday, August 18. Scot Bruce is Elvis.

Rates are per person, double occupancy and include round-trip transportation, lodging, tips, and tickets to the production. Meals are on your own.

Tentative Itinerary
8:00-8:30 Gather at the Center for Lifelong Learning
The bus will leave promptly at 8:30 am
Travel time is three hours.

On arrival in Montgomery, the group will eat lunch at a local restaurant and check into the hotel, followed by a tour of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. After a short rest, the group will dine at a local restaurant and see the evening production of Elvis, the early years.

Lodging at the Courtyard Marriott
Courtyard Cafe serves American cuisine, casual dress; breakfast prices range from 8.95 to 10.95

Repeatedly named one of Alabama’s Top 20 Tourism Events, the Moundville Native American Festival has performers, artists, craftspeople and tradition bearers entertain and educate visitors about the rich culture and heritage that makes Southeastern Indians unique. Native Americans and other experts demonstrate many arts, crafts and technologies during the entire festival.
